First, read the statements below. Then, listen to the audio and decide if the statements are true or false.

  1. The speaker always has breakfast with his grandparents at the weekend. In the audio: Every Sunday morning, I meet my grandad and my dad for breakfast.
  2. Making homemade jam is difficult. In the audio: Homemade tastes so much better than the jam you get from the supermarket, and making it is a piece of cake!
  3. The speaker’s father lives in Germany. In the audio: He used to live in Germany … He lives in the UK now.
  4. The speaker’s grandad hardly ever ate hard-boiled eggs for breakfast. In the audio: He says he was lucky if they even had a hard-boiled egg for breakfast!
  5. The speaker likes scrambled eggs more than hard-boiled ones. In the audio: If I eat eggs for breakfast, I prefer them scrambled.
  6. The speaker, his dad and his grandad all enjoy orange juice. In the audio: We always finish our breakfast with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice, that’s the one thing all three generations can agree on!
