The extremely loud building site
A shopping centre is currently being built near my house. The crane is so high that it towers over the other buildings in the neighbourhood. Like all construction sites, this one is extremely loud. I can hear the digger banging, the dump truck unloading new materials and the radio playing all day long.
There are lots of different labourers working on the building site. The bricklayer takes cement from the cement mixer and uses a trowel to lay the bricks for the wall. The plumber installs pipes for plumbing and later an electrician will install the lights.
For safety reasons only the workers are allowed onto the building site. There is a barrier blocking it from the street and the workers all have to wear a hard hat.
Luckily the shopping centre is almost finished. It's the school holidays and I find it very hard to sleep in when there is so much noise.
